Recently signed former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Shinsuke Nakamura is reportedly the very first NXT star to be signed to a contract which offers him main event level money, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

There is no word on how much time WWE plan to keep Nakamura in NXT but the signs all point to a significant run, so it's very interesting to see big money being paid to Nakamura given he won't be on the main roster anytime soon. 

Nakamura's signing was seen as big news in Japan, with over 100 reporters and media personalities attending a huge press conference in Tokyo at the Hard Rock on February 22nd.
