Backstage Talk on the Futures of Finn Balor & Bayley in NXT/Main Roster

Backstage Talk on the Futures of Finn Balor & Bayley in NXT/Main Roster

There is said to be some backstage concern over the long-term futures of NXT Champion Finn Bálor and NXT Women's Champion Bayley.

Regarding Bálor, there is some fear that as he continues to headlines NXT shows throughout 2016, his body may start to break down on him. As many fans are aware, Bálor is a well-traveled Superstar, having spent considerable time in Japan and abroad. The concern is that he already has a lot of miles on him and that he could end up spending his best years in WWE in the NXT developmental territory instead of on the main roster where he can make big money and become a major star.

As for Bayley, the feeling backstage is that when she debuts on the main roster, she will either be a major success or a major failure. The hope is that she could turn out to be a truly major star on the main roster, with some even going as far as saying that she could be "the female equivalent to John Cena." They envision her as being the top babyface in the Divas Division who will be popular with the younger fans and get involved with a lot of charity work. On the other hand, some people are worried that she simply won't come off the same way on the main roster as she does in NXT and that she'll end up not being very successful on the main roster.
