Former WWE Superstar CM Punk has been officially confirmed to be a playable character in the upcoming EA Sports UFC 2 video game, which is currently scheduled to be released in the spring of 2016. The announcement was confirmed by MMAJunkie.com's Mike Bohn, who was able to obtain a hands-on look at the new game.

The website also noted that current WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar was previously included in the game, but has since been removed due to his current deal with WWE.

As previously reported, Punk is not expected to officially debut with the UFC until sometime in 2016.
