Former WWE Head Of Security Jim Dotson Passes Away At Age 49

Posted By: Kenny Williams on Dec 15, 2015

Jim Dotson, who formerly worked for WWE as the company's head of security, has passed away at the age of 49. His family has established a GoFundMe page in order to help with funeral expenses, in which they also announced that Dotson passed away back on December 10th.

Dotson was most recognizable to WWE fans thanks to his signature black hat, shirt, and goatee, as well as being seen numerous times on WWE programming throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s helping to break up fights between many of the WWE Superstars.

Below is a statement from the GoFundMe page established by Dotson's family:

"Jim Dotson passed on December 10th. He was loved and admired by family and friends. Jim spent years dealing with health issues including a serious incurable eye disease which kept him from working over the past several years. He did not have any life or health insurance. He spent his time caring for his elderly mother who is unable to cover any expenses. Jim helped many people during his 49 year life and we now need to help him. He was a long time volunteer helping the handicapped and those in need. Now we need to honor Jim. Any amount helps and the family thanks each and every one of you."

On behalf of everyone here at WrestlingNewsSource.com, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Jim Dotson.
