In addition to being interested in ROH World Champion Jay Lethal, WWE is reportedly interested in New Japan Pro Wrestling star Shinsuke Nakamura who's contract will soon expire. 

The 36-year-old veteran has never had a run in the United States and while his age may be an issue he fits the bill in terms of look for WWE. The company has in the last year signed veteran stars such as Samoa Joe and James Storm to help enhance talent, so it's likely they will be fine with his age.

NJPW owner Takaaki Kidani in the past has said that the promotion may have to offer near seven figure deals to top guys like Nakamura to keep them from jumping ship, so it’s unlike Alberto Del Rio’s situation with AAA in which the company could not match WWE’s offer.
