Matt Hardy Wins TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Bound For Glory

41-year-old Matt Hardy of Cameron, North Carolina captured the TNA Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship at last night's TNA Bound For Glory pay-per-view in Concord, North Carolina's Cabarrus Arena. Hardy defeated Drew Galloway and former champion Ethan Carter III in a Triple Threat Match with Matt's younger brother Jeff Hardy serving as the Special Guest Referee.

This is Matt's first reign as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion and his second World Championship in professional wrestling. Matt Hardy captured WWE's version of the Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) World Heavyweight Championship back in September of 2008 at the Unforgiven pay-per-view and held the ECW Title until January of 2009.
