WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was reportedly not happy with how the recent Steve Austin podcast with Paul Heyman ended on the WWE Network two weeks ago. 

It ended with Austin going into “promo mode” against Paul Heyman, which led many to speculate on a future match between him and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted this week that the match would not be happening due to issues between Austin and Vince McMahon which are currently unknown.

Vince was unaware that the podcast would end in that manner and felt it was creating major interest in a match that was not happening. McMahon is reported to have had a discussion with Austin after the show which subsequently lead to him recently downplaying the possibility of the match.
