Triple revealed during a media call on Tuesday to promote the NXT Takeover: Unstoppable event that he wants NXT to be self-sustaining where wrestlers can make a good living, have a career, even if they never make main roster. He noted that John Cena is a big supporter of the NXT brand and Vince McMahon was "blown away" when he recently visited.

Hunter said WWE executives and McMahon are seeing the success of NXT in the WWE Network numbers but the real tipping point was the San Joes event which took a lot of convincing, especially during WrestleMania weekend. McMahon made a last minute decision to visit with top WWE officials who couldn't understand why they were not doing more with the NXT brand, "It was a paradigm shift" said Hunter.

He added Vince McMahon was thinking "holy s---, this is something special."
