WWE has confirmed via their official website that Kevin Nash will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year as part of the Class of 2015.
After much speculation, a WWE official has confirmed that Nash will be inducted under his real name rather than his "Diesel" ring name.
Nash will also be inducted by fellow Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.
Nash offered the following comments regarding his induction:
"I've been called just about everything, but this is the first time I'll be called a Hall of Famer. It's nice. It's been a long 25 years, but this business has been great to me. Without wrestling, there's no way I'd be where I am today. I'd probably own a strip club someplace. I'm normally not a guy who lets the past define him, but it's kind of mind-blowing to look back on it; all the people that have helped me along the way, friends and mentors – of course Shawn and H and all of those guys, but also Rick Rude, Mike Rotunda, 'Taker. It's really special, and like Frank Sinatra, I did it my way. Not to let the cat out of the bag, but I'm thinking of singing a few bars of that song at my induction. I think that would be sort of perfect."
Nash will be inducted alongside the following:
--Macho Man Randy Savage
--The Bushwhackers
--Arnold Schwarzenegger
--Tatsumi Fujinami
--Rikishi
--Alundra Blayze
--Larry Zbyszko
--Connor Michalek (honorary inductee + inaugural "Warrior Award" recipient)
