On This Day 13 Years Ago, Ring Of Honor Was Born With "The Era Of Honor Begins"

On February 23rd, 2002 from the Murphy Recreational Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ring of Honor held their first event titled "The Era of Honor Begins". The show was headlined by Bryan Danielson vs. Low Ki vs. Christopher Daniels and featured Eddie Guerrero who was a big proponent behind the ROH concept that wrestling comes first above all else. This Sunday, ROH will celebrate their 13th Anniversary live on pay-per-view from Las Vegas, Nevada, where in the main event Jay Briscoe, who competed in the very first ROH singles match in 2002 (see below) will defend the ROH World Championship against Tommaso Ciampa, Hanson and Michael Elgin.

Here are two matches from 'The Era of Honor Begins', Jay Briscoe vs. The Amazing Red and Eddie Guerrero vs. Super Crazy.
