Stephanie McMahon revealed in an interview The Wrestling Compadres Slamcast which also featured Booker T that the reason WWE got rid of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view and replaced it with Fast Lane was purely logistical. 

Stephanie noted that the Chamber weighs more than 10 tons and many arenas feature a large scoreboard above where the ring would be and they have issues hanging the Chamber in some buildings.
