TNA officials reportedly tried to lure former multi-time WWE Champion Edge in for last Wednesday’s Impact Wrestling premiere on Destination America in an Authority type role now that Kurt Angle has relinquished that role to return to active competition.

The company also tried in past weeks to get Alberto Del Rio but that didn't work out. 

Edge and TNA reportedly never got to the negotiation stages and it was merely just TNA putting out feelers but "the fish didn't bite."

Edge was last seen with friends and tag team partner Christian on the New Year edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.
