Former WWE Superstar and announcer Matt Striker has reportedly signed a deal with Jeff Jarrett to announce the January 4th New Japan WRESTLE KINGDOM 9 Pay Per View from the Tokyo Dome alongside WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross if a report by to Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc is to be believed.

Jarrett had originally wanted Mike Tenay to do the show, but TNA refused to let him do the event after Ross made contact with senior TNA officials include Dixie Carter.
