The Wrestling Observer is reporting that John Cena is expected to receive his shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar at the 2015 Royal Rumble event. There is also word that the match may happen at WWE TLC in December, but plans for that could change.
Furthermore, Lesnar is expected to retain the championship against Cena, and further reports are that Lesnar's next opponent will be Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31. The Wrestling Observer goes on to state, however, that WWE officials have given a "much longer" timetable for Reigns's return, stating that he would likely be back before WrestleMania 31, but not the Royal Rumble.
Should Reigns vs. Lesnar occur at WrestleMania 31, plans currently call for Reigns to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
