We previously reported that Paul Heyman was scheduled for last night's Raw although at some stage on Monday, possibly during the show it was decided to pull Heyman and reference WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar very little. The lack of Heyman among other top stars was notable and has put into question the direction of the current creative for WWE's flagship broadcast.

The belief is that Heyman may not have appeared because WWE has no plans for Lesnar coming out of Night of Champions effectively leaving them with no direction to take their champ, so they decided to focus their attention elsewhere.

While it has been speculated that John Cena vs. Lesnar in a Cell will headline October's Hell In a Cell pay-per-match this has yet to be planned.

In fact, WWE had very few if any plans in place for Hell In A Cell at Raw.
