WrestlingNewsSource.com is saddened to report that Paul Alperstein, founder and promoter of the American Wrestling Federation, has passed away at the age of 58.

PWInsider.com reports that Alperstein passed away back on September 16th after suffering a heart attack.

Reports are that Alperstein had been dealing with health issues for some time, but was in "good spirits" before his death.

Alperstein founded and promoted the AWF in 1994.

Reports are that there will be no funeral for Alperstein, but there will be a memorial service on September 27th at Hackney's on Lake in Glenview, Illinois.
