It's being reported that TNA Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer and former multi-time TNA and WWE World Champion Kurt Angle has been reaching out to WWE officials in an attempt to make a return to the company.

Angle is apparently trying to make an in-ring return and wants to work a schedule similar to the one Shawn Michaels did for his last few years in WWE. This means that Angle would work the big shows but would have a limited schedule.

However, it's being said that WWE officials, including Vince McMahon, aren't very keen on bringing him back as an in-ring performer. But it's been reported a few times in the past that WWE officials would love to have Angle work as a trainer for the NXT developmental territory and the Performance Center.
