PWInsider.com reports that Vince Russo has officially been released by TNA Wrestling, as he was informed by John Gaburick, TNA Wrestling's Executive Vice President of Television Production, that his consulting services with the company were no longer required.
Gaburick's decision also stems from Russo sending an email to PWInsider.com's Mike Johnson, in which Russo revealed that he was still working for TNA Wrestling despite previously stating that he was no longer involved with the professional wrestling business.
As previously reported, it has been suggested that Russo's involvement with TNA Wrestling played a major part in Spike TV's recent decision to not renew the company's television deal when the current deal expires this coming October, though negotiations regarding this are apparently still ongoing.
Russo sent out the following message on his official Twitter page earlier regarding his release:
Officially DONE w/TNA. Today they "suggested" a break, I declined. Finality was better for me.Details coming http://t.co/UsfACCuj3p— Vince Russo (@pyroballyhoo) July 30, 2014
