WWE announced on Monday night's edition of RAW that Kane has been added as the eighth participant in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match at this Sunday's Money in the Bank event. The announcement was made by Triple H after the conclusion of the show's main event. In this match, Kane now joins John Cena, Sheamus, Cesaro, Alberto Del Rio, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, and Bray Wyatt.

WWE also announced that Dean Ambrose has been added as the seventh participant in the Money in the Bank Contract Ladder Match at the event. Triple H made this announcement as well. In this match, Ambrose now joins Seth Rollins, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Rob Van Dam, Dolph Ziggler, and "Bad News" Barrett.
