The feeling backstage in WWE heading into Payback is that everybody is hoping that it will exceed expectations and be a surprisingly good show, despite the card looking relatively weak on paper. After the NXT Takeover event blew people away, it's said that a lot of the performers scheduled for tonight's Payback pay-per-view don't want to be outdone by the NXT developmental talents.
