Video: Re-cap of the main event from last week's Raw between The Shield and The Wyatt Family

Monday Night Raw is live and we kick things off with The Shield in the ring and Dean Ambrose says last week everyone saw something they never see often and won't see again. Everyone saw The Shield laid out. And they may have gone down but they didn't stay down for long and they're standing tall now and he calls out Evolution. Rollins says they're not running from Evolution, they are running to Evolution and challenges them to a rematch. And when they show up tonight, The Shield is going to hunt them down. He says Evolution was really good. They were very good but they're not The Evolution they once were. Roman Reigns says a week ago Evolution ambushed his brothers, and then victimized him and then asks if that's all they got. Because if it  is, Evolution has a serious problem and they're going to teach Evolution the concept of Payback, teach them how to believe in The Shield and teach them personally to believe in Roman Reigns. On the big screen, a limo pulls up in the parking lot and Evolution steps out. The Shield run to the back and attack Evolution and a brawl breaks out

Rob Van Dam vs Jack Swagger

Zeb Colter takes the mic and tells everyone to shut up and listen to what he has to say. Colter says last week, he was about to unveil the most important document. His deportation list and was rudely interrupted by his latest addition Adam Rose. He questions Rose's moral issues seeing as how he likes to hang around with a giant rabbit and tells him to keep his distant. He calls The Exotic Express a bunch of Rocky Horror Picture Show rejects. The Exotic Express make their way out to the ring to distract Swagger. RVD with a kick to the jaw and goes to the top rope and lands the Five Star Frog Splash for the three count

Alicia Fox has the mic and says speaking on behalf of all the women in the locker room, Paige has been here for 6 weeks and has already managed to alienate all the divas. She says there's something about Paige they don't like and says she doesn't fit in and tells her to get out. Fox attacks Paige. Fox continues the attack and delivers a backbreaker to Paige. Paige thornw to the outside. Fox goes after her driving her back first into the apron. Paige rolled back into the ring. Suplex by Fox. Fox with a chinlock on Paige. Paige gets to her feet. Series of backbreakers by Fox. Surfboard by Fox, Fox slams Paige's face into the mat and goes back to the chinlock. Paige gets to her feet once more breaking the hold. Side headlock by Fox and Paige counters into The Paige Turner for the three count

Daniel Bryan comes out to address the WWE Universe. He thanks everyone in the crowd and everyone watching at home because it took a long road to get to where he is. He knew this was going to be an uphill battle and it's just that the hill is a little steeper than he thought it would be. Bryan says The Authority threw everyone they had at him and with the help of the WWE Universe he beat the odds and walked out as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. But, unfortunately, being WWE Champion puts a huge target on your back. When he came back from his honeymoon he got the beating of his life when Kane tombstoned him 3 times. But he was determined to come back and beat Kane and did so at Extreme Rules. But that comes with a price and the reason everyone chants for him is because he comes out here and pays that price with his body. Bryan says he has to also pay that price by going in for neck surgery this week. He says being champion has been a dream of his and what's frustrating is some people are happy that he has to go in for surgery and that there's a chance his career could be done.. But there won't be. When he comes back, he has no idea but asks the WWE Universe if he will come back and there's a loud "YES" chant.

Harper with an irish whip and Jey gets the boot up. Right hands by Jey to Harper. Clothesline by Jey off the irish whip. Harper with a dropkick. Uppercut to Jey, Rowan with a slam. Wyatt in, picks Jey up and kicks him, Harper drives a series of elbows into the corner. Harper misses with the running clothesline and Jimmy tags in unloading on Harper. Samoan Drop to Harper. Jimmy backs HArper into the corner landing a series of punches. Rowan gets taken out, Harper with the big boot to the face. Wyatt driving knees into Jimmy. Right hand by Wyatt. Harper with an elbow drop. Harper with the Gator Roll. Elbow to Jimmy. Rowan with a kneedrop. and backbreaker to Jimmy. Jimmy fights back but Wyatt takes control hitting the running clothesline. Whatt and Jimmy down and Jimmy gets the tag. Cena hits the moves of doom. Harper taken out. Cena looking for the AA but Rowan saves himself. Atomic drop by Harper. Jey with a crossbody onto Harper. Wyatt with a slam. Jimmy with a knee to the head fo Wyatt. Rowan takes Jimmy out. Cena back in locks in the STF but Wyatt breaks it up. Wyatt picks Cena up looking to deliver Sister Abigail but Jey back in connects with the superkick. Off the ropes double flying suicide dive to the outside takes out Wyatt and Harper. Cena hits the AA on Rowan for the three count

Post Match: Wyatt thanks Cena for helping him to realize finally what he must do.

Evolution comes out to the ring. Orton takes the mic first and says he's had enough and it's time to take the gloves off and treat The Shield like they should be treated and put the hounds to sleep. Triple H says maybe it's time to take the gloves off and finish this thing with The Shield. They proved how good they are at Extreme Rules. It's why he brought them in. But they got a little too big. He says he's been a little disappointed in them since Extreme Rules and calls the ambush from earlier tonight the last straw. Triple H says if The Shield wants a rematch at Payback they've got it. This one will be different because the gloves are off and Evolution will do what they do and take them apart one by one. They don't look humbled yet but they will and when they're done with Ambrose they'll move onto Rollins and when they're done with him they're going to move onto Roman Reigns. When they get to him, they're going to take their time and make an example out of Roman Reigns. The example they make out of Roman Reigns is he will be the member of The Shield that doesn't come back from Payback. Triple H says Reigns will fail to adapt but before he can finish The Shield attack from behind and clear the ring of Evolution.  Batista takes the mic and says he's had enough and challenges Roman Reigns to a match tonight.

Nikki Bella vs Natalya

Natalya takes Nikki down and goes for an early cover. Nikki and Natayla exchange slaps. Natalya with a single log boston crab. Side headlock by Nikki and a right hand. Natalya with a series of knees. Natalya runs into an elbow.. Crossbody by Nikki. Exchange of slaps, Natalya locks the abdominal stretch in, Nikki reverses into one of her own. Natalya with an overhead toss. Nikki covers up in the ropes and trips Natalya up as she falls onto the middle rope. Shoving match between Nikki and Natalya. Series of pinfalls between Nikki and Natalya with Nikki rolling Natalya up for the three count

Sheamus with a side headlock takedown on Axel.Axedl with a series of knees to Sheamus. Sheamus with a forearm to the back. Elbow off the irish whip. Sheamus with an uppercut. Kneelift by Axel.. Dropkick to Sheamus. Sheamus with a rolling senton and running high knee. Sheamus goes to the top but Axel cuts him off and delivers a neckbreaker. Perfect Plex blocked by Sheamus. Sheamus picks Axel up, Axel counters but Sheamus takes Axel down and locks in The Cloverleaf for the submission

Chinlock on Sheamus and Ryback gets to his feet. Military Press slam by Ryback. Sheamus tries to fight back. Ryback with a slam, Ryback misses with a splash. Sheamus with a series of punches. Ryback goes for the powerbomb but Sheamus counters landing a series of double sledges and shoulder tackle in the corner. High running knee to Ryback. Ryback gets caught in the Ten Beats Of Bodhran. ShellShocked to Sheamus. Sheamus counters the Meat Hook and connects with White Noise. Sheamus looks for The Cloverleaf. Ryback kicks him away and plants Sheamus with the spinebuster. Running powerslam by Sheamus. Sheamus looks for The Brogue Kick but Ryback connects with the Meat Hook. Ryback looks for ShellShocked but Sheamus counters and hits The Brogue Kick for the three count

Stephanie is in the ring and runs down a list of all his accomplishments and at the end of the day Bryan has to undergo neck surgery and says what she's been saying all along that Daniel Bryan is a B+ player. Stephanie says he has the heart of a champion but just couldn't pull through for the fans and she tried to protect him and at the end of the day her family has to do what's best for business. She doesn't know the outcome of the surgery and calls out Bryan because she has something to say face to face. Kane comes out instead dragging Bryan behind him as Stephanie looks on disbelief. EMT's bring the stretcher out as Brie comes out as well. Stephanie exits the ring to check on Bryan as well. The crowd starts chanting "Daniel Bryan". EMT's place him on the stretcher and wheel him to the back

Parking Lot: Stephanie is apologizing to Bryan saying she had no idea this was going to happen. Stephanie then apologizes to Brie but Brie yells at her to stay away.

Dolph Ziggler vs Fandango

Waistlock on Ziggler. Ziggler counters into a side headlock and hits a shoulderblock. Armdrags by Fandango. Dropkick by Ziggler. Fandango sends Ziggler over the top ropes to the outside. Series of left hands to the side of head. Uppercut to Ziggler. Fandango choking Ziggler out on the ropes. Ziggler fights back but Fandango connects with a suplex. Chinlock by Fandango. Ziggler to his feet, jawbreaker to Fandango. Big splash in the corner by Ziggler follows it up with a neckbreaker. Famouser countered as Fandango plants Ziggler with another suplex. Fandango goes to the top rope looking for the leg drop. Ziggler hits The Famouser. Layla on the apron for the distraction. Fandango with a kick off the distraction. Ziggler gets to his feet. Fandango looks on to make sure Layla is okay and Ziggler hits the ZigZag from behind for the three count

Post Match: Fandango says he may have lost but he's a winner because no woman has made him feel the way Layla does. Ziggler may have won but Layla has won something much more valuable. His heart. Fandango tells her he loves her

WWE Hall Of Famer "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan makes his way out to the ring. Duggan says it's great to be back around the WWE Universe after life in the WWE Legends House. Duggan is then interrupted by Lana. Lana says Duggan symbolizes America which was once powerful but like England has crumbled and China has surpassed them. She says Alexander Rusev is proud to represent Mother Russia. Duggan cuts her off and leads the WWE Universe in a "USA" chant. Lana says he continues to prove America's inferiority and introduces Alexander Rusev.  Lana orders Duggan to beg for mercy. Rusev takes the 2x4 and breaks it over his knee. Lana says that was Duggan's one chance and orders Rusev to crush Duggan but Big E. Langston comes out. Duggan escapes to safety as Rusev takes Langston out sending him to the outside.

Damien Sandow vs Cody Rhodes

Cole brought up this match being a battle of the Rhodes Scholars, which has been reduced to a Q11 buffer match. Cody knocked down Sandow, who sold being woozy. Cody asked if he's all right, then Sandow sprung on Cody with an attack. Sandow and Cody traded pinfall attempts, then Cody ate the middle rope. "You're welcome!" Sandow shouted toward the crowd. Side Russian legsweep, then Sandow missed with the Elbow of Disdain. Sandow got it moments later against the ring apron. Cody made a comeback with a flying clothesline, then dropkicked Sandow. Cody followed with a punt to the gut as JBL and Cole reminisced about the last time they were in the arena in the unidentified city. Suddenly, something caught JBL's eye in the ring. It was Cody with a Thumb to the Eye. Cody followed with Cross Rhodes for the pin and the win.

Post Match: Goldust entered the ring and clapped it up for his brother, although a bit reluctantly since Cody used heelish tactics to finally get a win. WWE replayed Cody picking up the win before going back to Goldust doing an "oh, I see what you did there" look toward his brother.

Video:  Re-cap from earlier tonight of Bryan's announcement he'll be undergoing neck surgery this Thursday as well as Kane dragging a beaten Bryan out onto the stage where EMT's loaded him onto a stretcher and wheeled him out to the parking lot loading him into the ambulance as well as Brie pushing Stephanie and yelling at her to stay away

Wyatt Family appeared on Bray Wyatt addressed John Cena and flawed humans. Bray said people have become parasites and Cena is no different. "You're all the same!" he said." Bray asked where this fairytale will end. Last week, Cena said he would never give up, even if he is the last man standing. Bray said he likes that. Because he would like to put Cena's theory to the test at Payback. Bray vowed to be the last man standing at Payback. "How far are you willing to go?" Bray asked, then sang "He's got the whole world in his hands."

Roman Reigns vs Batista

Back and forth early on as the wrestlers felt each other out and the crowd felt out the match. "Boo-tista" chant from the crowd, then Reigns ran over Batista with a clothesline. Hunter and Orton popped to the ring apron to stand guard, then Batista hit Reigns with a right hand. Reigns answered with a big boot, then a big charging clothesline. The fight moved to the floor, where the outside participants became involved. Back in the ring, Reigns measured Batista for a big move, but Hunter pulled him out of the ring. He wanted a Pedigree on Reigns, but Rollins flew at Hunter to break it up. The bell sounded for the match to be thrown out.

The winner of the match: NO WINNER

Post Match: Shield rolled Evolution back into the ring. Shield put the boots to Shield, then Stephanie McMahon suddenly appeared on-stage and she sent a host of lower-card heels to the ring. Included was Brodus Clay, last seen on NXT. The low-level heels targeted Roman Reigns, then Hunter grabbed a chair ringside. Hunter measured Reigns for a big chair shot, but Reigns broke free of the heels and speared Hunter. Ambrose and Rollins then hit the ring with chairs and cleared the heels from the ring. The crowd popped as Shield stood tall and gave finishers to the heels. Meanwhile, Evolution regrouped to the stage area. Poor Heath Slater was left in there to take a Superman Punch from Reigns, then Reigns finished off Ryback with a spear. Shield fired up the crowd, then Ryback remained in the ring. Shield gave Ryback another triple powerbomb, then Evolution was shown pacing ringside nervously. Shield, with the upper hand this week, stood in the ring drooling at the thought of getting their hands on Evolution again. Evolution continued to pace ringside before WWE replayed the end of the match and the post-match. Shield continued to stand tall in the ring. Shield put their fists in the middle to show unity as Raw went off the air
