Current WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose of The Shield is only 10 days away from Montel Vontavious Porter's record-setting 343 days with the U.S. Title. Ambrose has been the Champion for 333 days now.

No word on when WWE officials plan to have Ambrose drop the strap. It was previously reported that WWE officials were talking about unifying the U.S. and Intercontinental Championship by doing a match between Ambrose and Big E. Langston but that idea has seemingly been dropped.
