The original Sin Cara is indeed said to be done with WWE but is still under a 90-day no-compete clause. This means that he can still work for small-time indy promotions, but he cannot appear for a major wrestling promotion, meaning the AAA promotion down in Mexico, until his no-compete clause is up.

Sin Cara has reportedly been telling people that his lawyers are trying to work out a deal with WWE that would allow him to use the name Sin Cara in AAA. As many fans are already aware, he used to be known as Mistico but that name is owned by the CMLL promotion which he is not on good terms with.
