WWE Elimination Chamber Results (2/23)

Pre-Show

Coverage:

- The 2014 WWE Elimination Chamber Kickoff pre-show starts with Josh Mathews welcoming us to the Target Center in Minneapolis as fans continue to find their seats. Mathews is joined by The Miz, Rey Mysterio and Mark Henry. Miz shows off his wedding ring. We have a new panel setup tonight. The panel talks about tonight’s matches. Henry is looking forward to the Chamber match the most. Miz hypes Big E vs. Jack Swagger and The New Age Outlaws vs. The Usos. Rey is most looking forward to The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family. They talk about the pre-show match and Miz predicts The Brotherhood will win. Henry says there hasn’t been this much excitement in the tag team division since the Attitude Era.

- We go backstage to Renee Young in the social media lounge. Tonight’s hashtag is #WWEChamber. Renee shows us some Chamber predictions from fans on Twitter.

- They show the Chamber hanging high above the ring. Mathews hypes tonight’s main event. We see footage from the big brawl at the end of Monday’s RAW. We get more hype for the Chamber. Henry says there will be a victor but there are no winners in the Chamber.

- We go backstage to Cesaro, Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter. He says tonight will be great for The Real Americans but tomorrow will be even better because they will be champions. Zeb says this is a new opportunity for America. Zeb has them place their hands over their hearts and say, “we the people!”

- JBL makes his way out for commentary to a big pop. The panel talks about Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio. Jerry Lawler is out next to another big pop. We cut to a video of The Bella Twins hyping the WWE Network. We come back to a CM Punk chant as Michael Cole welcomes us. He talks about the WWE Network launching tomorrow.

Goldust and Cody Rhodes vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel

We go to the ring and out first comes Goldust and Cody Rhodes. Ryback and Curtis Axel are out next. They’re accompanied by Axel’s grandfather, Larry “The Axe” Hennig.

Goldust and Axel start off before Cody and Ryback come in. Ryback takes control on Cody and drops him with an elbow to the face. Ryback with thrusts in the corner before tagging in Axel. Fans chant for Axel as Cody turns it around. Cody sends Axel and Ryback to the floor. Cody and Goldust both leap out to the floor and take Ryback and Axel out. We cut to a commercial.

Back from the break and Axel is in control of Goldust. Axel shows off for his grandfather and goes for a pin attempt. Ryback tags in for some double teaming in the corner. Ryback with a big vertical suplex on Goldust for another 2 count. Axel tags back in and keeps Goldust in the corner. Goldust dodges a move and gets a 2 count. They both go down and try for a tag. Ryback tags in and stops Goldust. Goldust fights them both off and hits a big hurricanrana. Ryback stops another tag but Goldust dumps him over the top. Cody and Axel tag in. Cody unloads and hits a big knee to the face. Cody goes up top and nails a moonsault for a 2 count. Cody with an Alabama Slam but Ryback pulls him out of the ring. Cody nails a Disaster Kick. Cody springboards back in but Axel catches him with a powerbomb for a close 2 count. Cody blocks a Perfect-plex but goes for CrossRhodes. Ryback interrupts that. More back and forth. Cody nails CrossRhodes for the win on Axel.

Winners: Cody Rhodes and Goldust

- We go backstage to Bryon Saxton and The Usos. They’ve been dreaming about this day one and will walk out with the titles tonight.

- More hype from Renee Young in the social media lounge with fan predictions.

- We go back to the panel. Rey goes with Cesaro as the Chamber winner, Henry predicts Sheamus will win and The Miz also goes with Cesaro as the winner.

- The 2014 WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view kicks off with a promo video for tonight’s main event. We’re live from the sold out Target Center in Minneapolis as the pyro goes off and Michael Cole welcomes us.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Jack Swagger vs. Big E

We go too the ring and out first comes Jack Swagger with Zeb Colter. Zeb has the music stopped and cuts a promo on the way to the ring. Zeb talks about how Big E has done nothing to help North America since he’s been champion. WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E is out next to a decent reaction.

We see Ricardo Rodriguez doing Spanish commentary again tonight. They lock up and go to the corner, then to the next corner. They lock up again and Swagger hits a big knee to the gut. Swagger with shoulder blocks. They run the ropes and Big E nails a flying shoulder tackle. Swagger goes to the floor for a breather and the crowd boos. Swagger comes back in and works Big E over. E turns it around and hits a big belly to belly suplex. Big E nails another big throw and a spear in the corner. Swagger rolls back out to the floor.

E follows and sends Swagger into the steps. Zeb distracts Big E, allowing Swagger to attack from behind. Big E fights back and thrusts Swagger back into the steps. Big E brings it back in the ring for a 2 count. Swagger ends up pulling Big E to the floor and throws him down. Swagger with a big clothesline on the floor. Swagger brings it back in the ring for a 2 count. Swagger with a running knee in the corner. More knees to the gut in the corner. Swagger with a short clothesline and a 2 count. More offense from Swagger. He levels Big E with a big boot and drops a leg for 2. They both collide with clotheslines in the middle of the ring.

Big E misses a big thrust in the corner and hits the ring post. Swagger rolls him up for a 2 count. More back and forth. Swagger nails a big spinebuster for a 2 count. Big E blocks a Swagger Bomb. Big E struggles but Swagger ends up on the apron. Big E runs the ropes and spears Swagger from the apron to the floor. They both land hard and the fans chant “holy shit.” Big E brings it back in for a 2 count. Big E runs the ropes and nails a big splash for another 2 count. Big E goes to the top rope but Swagger cuts him off. Swagger climbs up but E sends him to the mat. Swagger runs back up and throws Big E to the mat for another 2 count. Swagger takes out Big E’s knee and goes for the Patriot Lock. E rolls through but Swagger locks it in again. E breaks the hold and they trade shots. Swagger takes the knee out again. Big E blocks a gutwrench but runs into a big kick. Big E runs over Swagger and drops his straps. Swagger with another Patriot Lock as the crowd pops. E breaks it with an enziguri. Big E nails the Big Ending for the win.

Winner: Big E

- After the match, Bad News Barrett appears on his podium by the stage. Barrett gives us bad news about the Russians winning more gold medals than the Americans at the Winter Olympics.

- We get hype for Hulk Hogan’s WWE return.

- Cole talks about Daniel Bryan not being 100% for tonight. We see footage from his impromptu match against Kane on last week’s RAW. Byron Saxton is backstage with Bryan, who has his shoulder taped up. A “yes!” chant starts in the arena. Bryan says his mindset is the same, whether he’s 100% or not. Bryan gets another “yes!” chant going.

WWE Tag Team Title Match: The Usos vs. The New Age Outlaws

We go to the ring and out first come WWE Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws. They do their usual schtick before The Usos come out.

Billy Gunn starts off with Jimmy Uso. Back and forth action. Gunn drops Uso with an elbow. Gunn stalls before they lock up again. Road Dogg finally tags in as does Jey Uso. Dogg dances around to a pop. Dogg with a kick to the gut. Uso comes back with a headbutt and some dancing of his own to a pop. Dogg runs into a big kick from the corner but launches Uso with a hip toss into the corner. Uso lands bad and looks to hurt his leg. Dogg struts and tosses Uso out to the floor. Gunn with a big clothesline on the floor. Gunn brings it back in the ring for a 2 count.

Jimmy Uso goes bananas with the hot tag. He kicks Road Dogg off the apron with a Super Kick and Billy Gunn comes from behind and rolls him up for the count!

Winners: STILL WWE Tag Team Champions New Age Outlaws

Bad News Barrett says that Daniel Bryan won't become the WWE Champion. And for that, he wants to lead the crowd in a Yes! chant.

The guys at commentary plug the WWE Network. The crowd just wants CM Punk.

Darren Young Vs. Titus O'Neil

The former Prime Time Players tangle up as Titus over powers Young. Titus does a heel move by ducking underneath the ropes, they lock up again, and Titus takes control of the match with a headlock and hammers Young to the mat. Young now turns the tide but is quick to the mat as Titus drops him with a Shoulder Block. Darren Young takes the offense, kick, drop kick to the knee and a clothesline over the top send both guys to the outside. Darren rolls Titus in the ring, Young to the top and Flying Clothesline from Young! Pin and 2 count! Titus regains composure and takes control. He whips young into the corner, DY does a turnbuckle ala Flair outside the ring! Titus follows, scoops Darren but holds him, smashing him into the ring post using his back! In the ring, Titus stays in control with multiple back breakers and an Abdominal Stretch! Titus slowly circles Young and Darren rallies a bit on offense with counters and a backdrop! Mounted Punches from Young, Titus rolls out onto the apron. Young follows and Neckbreaker on the ring apron! Young back in and goes for the cover but only gets a 2! Darren tries to stay on the offense but TiTus fights back, irish whips DY into the ropes, and catches him with Clash Of The Titus! Over.

Winner: Titus O' Neil

-The Pre-Show Panel of Experts goes over the show so far, including highlights from the tag team pre-show match.

Sheild/Wyatt Promo

The Shield Vs. The Wyatt Family

Shield out first. They're here-the Wyatts. The match hasn't even started and the crowd is chanting "This Is Awesome". Thank you, NXT. Dual chants! "Let's Go Wyatts!/Let's Go Shield!" And a brawl from both teams erupts! The Shield chase out the Wyatts, the crowd is eating this match up. Both teams go to their respective corners and now Rollins squares off with Rowan. The match officially begins!

Rollins rolls out of the way of Rowan's grapples. Rowan tries to lift Rollins but a dropkick sends Rowan stumbling into the Sheild corner and quick tag to Reigns. Shots from Reigns, Rollins tagged back in. Seth tries to begin some momentum but eats canvas by getting Shoulder Blocked into a 360 from Rowan! Luke Harper is now tagged in, does some work on Seth, and Bray now in the ring. He begins to throw elbows in the corner on Rollins. Bray throws Rollins off the ropes but Seth slides away from Bray and tags in Roman Reigns! Bray jaws Reigns and Roman goes in for the attack. He manages to drop Bray for a 2 count before Bray hooks Roman in a front face lock, drags him to the corner and brings in Luke Harper.

Luke Harper tries a suplex but two attempts later and Roman reverses. He wrestles Harper into the Sheild corner, Dean Ambrose tagged in! The Shield cut Luke Harper off in their corner, double-team move including a Flying Forearm from Seth Rollins! Reigns now comes in for some shots, Ambrose in to drag Harper's eyes across the ropes, Seth in for headbutts to the lower back. Frequent tags from the Hounds Of Justice. Dean Ambrose gets some offense in before being distracted by Rowan and met with a Dropkick from Luke Harper! Luke tags in Bray who goes to work on Ambrose, then tags in Erik Rowan who continues the beat down with a huge Bodyslam and locks on a variation of the Cobra Clutch on Ambrose. Ambrose back to his feet, off the ropes, and dropped with a Sidewalk Slam! 2 count. Ambrose is in trouble as Luke Harper is tagged back in. Harper is countered into a Swinging Neckbreaker by Ambrose and Dean rolls into his corner, tagging in Seth Rollins!

Rollins on fire, tries a high-risk but is blocked by Rowan. Rollins kicks him down but now Harper is scaling the turnbuckle, he locks his hands around the waist of Rollins from the second rope and looks to German Suplex him but Rollins BACKFLIPS OUT FROM THE GERMAN AND LANDS ON HIS FEET (YOU HAD TO SEE IT!)!! Rollins starts flying out of the ring onto Harper, comes flying off the ropes with a Knee Strike! The Amazing Seth-Man is owning this!!

Seth Rollins hot streak is sizzled out by Luke Harper who then manages to tag in Bray Wyatt. Wyatt wears down Seth, and Harper comes back in. Harper beats down Seth some more and Bray comes back in. Bray lays some waste and delivers a huge Sambo Suplex. Bray tries to get in more offense and crush Seth with a Running Avalanche in the corner but Rollins reverses, gets out of there and tags in Roman Reigns!

Reigns comes in and starts to lay out the Wyatts! It's a bonanza of things going on with all six men trying to take out the other. A lot happened to keep up with in this next 5 minutes because bodies were laid out by flying clotheslines from Reigns and Ambrose eating the barricade after a Luke Harper Suicide Dive followed by a Seth Rollins Rolling Senton Splash onto Harper!! Holy shit. And the crowd also says so! They want tables and with the fight outside the ring, we now have the Spanish announce table being undressed! Seth Rollins tries to fight Luke Harper with a monitor but Harper and Rowan get the numbers game, undress the American table and use that to perform a Double Chokeslam on Seth Rollins through the spanish announce table!!

Inside the ring, Roman Reigns was left to fight the Wyatts as Ambrose was laid out in the crowd from an earlier spot and Rollins from the chokeslam. Reigns pulls out of a Sister Abigail and starts to lay waste on the Wyatts with Super Man Punches! Down Rowan! Down Harper! Now Bray! Reigns lines up Bray for a Spear but Harper pulls himself together to get in between Bray and Roman taking the Spear! Bray comes to and drops Roman with a Cross Body Block! Bray quickly picks up Roman, Sister Abigail, and turns him inside out for the Family win!

Winners: The Wyatt Family

WWE Network plug featuring Hulk Hogan!

Catching up with Christian backstage. He is desperate. He will win tonight's Chamber match.

WWE Diva's Championship: AJ Lee (Champion) Vs. Cameron

Cameron throws her Pom-Poms at AJ before the match! Oh girl, it's on! Cameron gets the early offense, dropping AJ, taunting her, and getting a one count on a Split-Leg Drop. The crowd boos Cameron. AJ goes back on offense, gets a few drop holds, and locks in a nice looking Dragon Sleeper! Cameron fights out but is bought back to the mat from AJ using her hair. AJ skips with Cameron laid in the corner, she tries to charge but gets reveresed into a roll up for a 2 count! Cameron goes on the offense, the crowd isn't enjoying Cameron's offense! AJ manages to toss Cameron from the ring, goes on the outside and taunts Cameron with her own Pom-Poms. As Cameron comes too, Tamina tries to charge Cameron with a Big Boot but kicks AJ in the face! Cameron rolls AJ in the ring, Tamina knows she messed up and saves AJ by putting her foot on the ropes! The ref argues, Cameron argues and goes outside the ring to confront Tamina but is met by a Clothesline and the win by DQ.

Winner: via DQ, Cameron

Bad News Barrett here again. He says adults will lose their jobs and kids will suffer at school. Everyone will neglect life.

Santino, Emma, Khali, and the Matadors all play with toys.

Batista Vs. Alberto Del Rio

Batista waits on ADR and after a few moments here comes Del Rio... with crutches and a neckbrace. ADR takes a mic and tells Batista that because of his attack two weeks ago, he won't be able to wrestle tonight... then attacks Batista with the crutch! Del Rio goes to work on Batista, takes down Dave and strips out of his run suit reveiling wrestling attire! The crowd gets behind Del Rio chanting "Si!" As Del Rio tells the bell keeper to ring the bell, he goes to attack Batista but Dave fights out and the crowd boos, adding a new chant of "Boo-tista!" LoL Ok, so Del Rio starts to work on Batista's arm, the crowfd firmly behind everything from Del Rio, CM Punk, and Y2J. ADR is getting heavy offense in, drops Batista with a Front Drop-Kick in the corner, climbs up to the second ropes, and Double Stomps Batista on his chest! "RVD" is now in the mix and as ADR Baseball Slides Batista out of the ring, this crowd starts to chant "We Want Lesnar". ADR takes off a turnbuckle pad, grabs Batista from the outside and rolls him in but Batista comes back with a Spear for a 2 Count! Batista gets some light offense on ADR but Del Rio counters a Powerslam into a Back Stabber for 2! ADR goes to the top rope, tries a Senton splash but Batista moves and Batista picks ADR up in a Spinebuster! Batista readies for a Batista Bomb, ADR shimmies out, and chop block on Batista. A quick cover gets only 2. ADR calls for the Arm-Bar, Batista pushes ADR into the exposed turnbuckle and gives him a BOO-tista Bomb for the win!

Winner: Batista

Elimination Chamber

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Randy Orton (Champion) Vs. Sheamus Vs. Cesaro Vs. Christian Vs. Daniel Bryan Vs. John Cena

Here we go. Sheamus and Cesaro start the match. Dropkick by Cesaro to take down Sheamus. Their out on the steel but Sheamus clotheslines Cesaro back into the ring. Quick offense from the Celtic Warrior, Cesaro counters a charge into a back bodydrop onto the steel. Sheamus let's himself back in the ring with a Launching Shoulder Block and gets to work on Cesaro. High knee, Cesaro rolls out. Sheamus tries the 10 Chest Clubs but Cesaro fights it before losing the struggle and receives 5. Clothesline drops Cesaro, Sheamus tries to Suplex Cesaro back in the ring but Cesaro blocks it and tries to counter. Sheamus comes over but lands on his feet until Cesaro drops Sheamus down on the steel. Cesaro climbs the rope and Double Foot Stomp! Both guys go back into the ring, Cesaro starts to unload with European Uppercuts on Sheamus. The Irish Man tells him to "COME ON FELLA!" so Cesaro drops him with a hard Uppercut! 

The clock counts down and here comes... DANIEL BRYAN! He comes in flying with a missle dropkick, bad shoulder and all! Kicks to Sheamus! WWE2K14 Comeback loaded up from Bryan! Cesaro gets kicks! Daniel waits to see who responds first for the Roundhouse Kick, Cesaro gets kicked! Sheamus knees Bryan, cutting him off but Bryan locks in a quick submission. As he stands there with it, here comes Cesaro but Bryan reverses that into a Northern Lights Suplex! Pin/Submission Combo!! Cesaro kicks out, Bryan tires to hold the submission on Sheamus a little longer but breaks it after a pin attempt. 

Cesaro, Sheamus, Bryan all fight on the steel floor. Cesaro and Bryan tangle up as Daniel tries to throw Cesaro into a pod but Cesaro reverses and throws him into the pod! Sheamus comes too, fights with Cesaro, and gets him with a Rolling Firemans carry on the steel for a 2 count. Back in the ring, Sheamus goes after Bryan who crawled in. Sheamus goes to the top but DB cuts him off. The countdown to the next guy begins...

Christian is in the ring who goes right after Bryan and his injured shoulder. A Triple Threat match has now become a Fatal Four Way. Christian assaults Bryan on the steel, throwing him shoulder first into the chamber to further damage that shoulder. He takes off the wrapping on DB, beats on his arm, and throws him arm first into the pod. Christian panders to the crowd and is met with DB kicks to the chest though turns the tide quickly. Sheamus comes too and goes after Christian on the outside, beats him up a bit before Christian is able to reverse a Powerslam into a Reverse DDT. Cesaro tangles up with Christian now. Both guys fight as Cesaro tries to launch Christian in the air for a European Uppercut! Christian used the cage to hold onto, kicks at Cesaro, and tries to come down for a Hurricana but Cesaro holds him up and Powerbombs Christian into a pod that doesn't break! Cesaro follows Christian in the ring but only gets a two count. All guys fight it out as the countdown begins...

John Cena comes in and goes right after Christian! He sets Captain Charisma up for an AA but uses him as a weapon to fend off Cesaro before AAing Christian onto Cesaro! Cena goes in but Daniel Bryan cuts him off and drops him with kicks, that not being enough! Sheamus now in the fight! Sheamus and Cena fight before Cesaro gets in there and trades Uppercuts with Sheamus. Christian tries to fight but Cena grabs him from outside of the ropes and back body drops him into the cage! Daniel Bryan stops Cena from giving the AA to Cesaro and fights everyone until Sheamus tosses him into the cage, slowing him down. The countdown for the final guy...

Randy Orton in the ring and he goes after Cena! Bryan in the ring but is kicked down. Orton poses  until the Faces realize that they have him cornered. Orton is trapped! Quick thinking from the champion and he locks himself back in the pod! Christian fights off Bryan and Cesaro fights off Cena while Sheamus knocks on the pod as Orton thinks he out-smarted them all. The crowd chooses to call Randy Orton a Pussy-Cat but Orton doesn't have nine lives. Sheamus begins to walk away but he Brogue Kick's the pod in! He pulls Orton out, slugs away, and clotheslines him into the ring. Cesaro now gets Orton and here comes the Super Swiss Swing on Orton! Sheamus Brogue Kicks Cena! Christian tries to pin Orton, then Cena!

Sheamus and Christian fight on the outside on the steel. Sheamus tries a Celtic Cross but Christian wiggles out, clings onto the cage and climbs a pod. Sheamus starts to scale the turnbuckle and fight him but Orton is behind Sheamus and clubs him on the back. Orton gives Sheamus a Superplex and Christian comes flying down with a Splash from top of the pod! Cover and count eliminates Sheamus!

Orton fights with Christian and tries a DDT off the ropes but Christian fights out! Bryan knocks Orton out of the ring, and Christian and DB tangle up! Irish whip by Christian but DB comes flying off the ropes with a Flying Knee! Cover, count, Christian is eliminated!

DB and Cena go at it! Cesaro interrupts an AA and he is amped up! Cena and Cesaro fight until Cesaro eats an AA to the outside, on the steel! Cesaro rolls back in, Cena locks in the STF and that's enough for the Swiss Super Man.

As John Cena and Randy Orton begin to slug it out, the match is interrupted with the lights going out and the Wyatt cut-screen! The Wyatts attack John Cena! Daniel Bryan tries to help but the Wyatts dispose of DB quickly. A three-man beat down and a Sister Abigail give Randy Orton the opportunity to eliminate John Cena!

Kane comes down to chase the Wyatts out. It's down to Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan! Kane comes in the cage and tries to get Cena out. Bryan climbs the top rope and gives a Flying Knee to Kane! Orton takes Bryan while he is distracted, throwing him into a pod! Randy tries to set DB on the top rope but Bryan fights out and he is on fire! Randy Orton is able to slow momentum and try for a Rope Hang DDT but Bryan wiggles out. DB ducks a clothesline, comes charging from the opposite side and Flying Knee to Orton! 1..2..KANE BREAKS UP THE COUNT!! AJDHJD!!!

Orton drops DB with the RKO! 1..2....KICK OUT!! Bryan finds a spark, rolls up Orton! 1..2...!! KICK OUT!! Daniel Bryan starts to line up Randy for another Flying Knee but Kane throat thrusts Bryan and Orton drops him with the RKO for the 1...2...3!

Winner: STILL WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton
