RUMOR: Jeff Jarrett & Toby Keith Starting New Wrestling Company?

It was well-documented for a number of months that the Carter Family may have been looking to sell at least a portion of TNA Impact Wrestling to a mysterious celebrity party which was recently revealed as being country music star Toby Keith, who is good friends with TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett. It was reported that if this deal would have gone through, Jarrett would have been a key figure in the new regime. However, the two sides were unable to make a deal, as they reportedly couldn't agree on a price or how much ownership Keith would get.

After the deal fell through, Jeff Jarrett decided to part ways from the promotion he co-founded along with his father Jerry Jarrett back in 2002.

In an update on Jeff Jarrett and Toby Keith, former WWE, WCW, and TNA star and Lucha Libre legend Konnan recently told MLW Radio that he has spoken with Jeff Jarrett and that Jarrett personally told him that TNA is in very bad shape and they may not last for too much longer, which actually wouldn't bother Jarrett at this point. Konnan also said that Jarrett might be making a big announcement regarding a new project, which could be a new wrestling promotion to be founded by himself and Toby Keith.
