Former WWE Superstar Trevor Murdoch recently spoke to Under The Mat Radio about his new restaurant, C.M. Punk's early struggles in WWE, and how wrestling is different now compared to how it was when he was growing up.
Trevor on the best dish at his restaurant T. Murdochās Bar and Grill: "Well, to be honest with you, I serve up a mean steak but I got an Pork Tenderloin that covers the plate from edge to edge. Itās thick and nice and taste good so Iām a redneck so I love my pork and steak. It gives me the opportunity to talk to the fans and people on a different levelā¦let them know Iām a regular person like everyone else"

Trevor on what WWE thought about CMĀ Punk when he first came in: "Iām not going to name any names but when Punk was in developmental there were a lot of people bagging on him. They were like who is this guy? Tattooed up with a Pepsi symbol on his arm, what they thought was a Pepsi symbol on his arm and him being an internet sensation and indy sensation. They really couldnāt see the big picture the connection that he has with the fans when he goes out there. How much hard work he puts in his craft and when he steps out that curtain how much hard work he puts out there."
Trevor on the differences of wrestling now to when he was growing up: "The wrestling end of it is changing daily itās not the sport that it was when I was younger following it. Itās more towards the entertainment end of it and thatās a machine you really canāt stop unless the fans change thatā¦and what I mean by fans is that they all have to get together and speak loud and clear and let them know thatās what they want. Everything they (WWE) do on TV is based on what they do for viewership and itās up to us as fans to change that. I respect the WWE and all it has done for me."
