Let's get this out of the way. No matter how much we may laugh at some of the WWE App votes, the actual winners of the Slammy awards were legitimate. There was no WWE involvement in the final decisions and all participants (that were in the arena) were around just in case they won a Slammy.
The more interesting note coming out of last night was the "Daniel Bryan" factor. Bryan managed to win several Slammys including the "Superstar Of The Year" award. The voting, PWInsider report, was said to be "incredibly close" but Daniel came out on top. A lot of people with this and during the main event segment, were pointing out just how much Daniel Bryan seems to be over with the crowd.
It's also reported that many were said to point out that WWE management didn't have the confidence to give Daniel Bryan an original WWE title run and was a mistake in not giving him a run. After last night, it's looking more and more of one. Whilst they were in Bryan's hometown, WWE officials will more than likely have taken notice given the crowd stopped the main event segment for 2 minutes.
