C.M. Punk was originally booked to appear on Friday night's episode of SmackDown but he ended up being pulled from the show because he was in rough shape after Raw on Monday night and WWE officials didn't want to take the chance of him being further injured going into Hell in a Cell.

Although it's currently unknown how severely injured Punk is, there is some talk that he's in enough pain that it will have an effect on his match against Ryback and Paul Heyman tonight. No word on if Punk might have to miss any time, but as of right now tonight is not expected to be the end of the Punk vs. Heyman/Ryback/Axel feud.
