WNS Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Posted By: Kenny Williams on Sep 29, 2013

Beginning October 1st and lasting the entire month, WrestlingNewsSource.com will show its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women and is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, exceeded only by lung cancer. The American Cancer Society has stated the following estimates for breast cancer in the United States for 2013:

--About 232,340 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women

--About 64,640 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed (CIS is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer)

--About 39,620 women will die from breast cancer

Numerous organizations are also showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, such as Susan G. Komen For The Cure and Pink Ribbon.

To find out how you can help raise awareness and, more importantly, find a cure for this disease, contact some of your local medical facilities.
