WWE is planning to keep the WWE Championship vacated until the WWE Battleground pay-per-view in three weeks.

WWE PPV events typical draw low in the month of October so the plan is to use the title as an engine to get more viewers to tune in to the weekly broadcasts of Raw and SmackDown to see what will happen. 

While advertising may change, Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton and CM Punk finally "getting his hands on Paul Heyman once and for all" is advertise for the Survivor Series PPV.
