WWE SmackDown Results (8/30/13) Las Vegas, Nevada

Miz is in the ring for MizTV and he welcomes everyone to the show. He brings out his first guest, The Big Show. Miz brings out his second guest, Dolph Ziggler.

Miz says that they have something in common. They were standing on the stage with forty other Superstars when Daniel Bryan was attacked by the Shield after the Gauntlet Match. Then we see Randy Orton giving Bryan an RKO while Hunter glared at Big Show, Miz, and Dolph Ziggler.

Miz says that they were told that they had to watch the destruction of Daniel Bryan. If they interfered in any manner, they would no longer be WWE Superstars. If they interfered, their careers would be made a living hell.

Miz says that this is a free country and the WWE Universe should hear their opinions about how management is running the WWE. Miz gives Big Show the floor.

Show says that was one of the toughest things he had to do in his career. To stand there and watch that. He wants Dolph to speak.

Dolph tries to find the words to speak and he tells Big Show to finish his thoughts.

Miz says that he has always been outspoken and called a big mouth . . .

Triple H’s music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring with a smirk on his face. He makes his way to the ring.

Hunter says that before his music hit, Miz sounded like he had something important to say. Hunter says that he noticed that Miz usually does this in a suit, but he is in his gear tonight.

Miz says that you never know when a fight is going to break out. Miz wants to ask Hunter a question, but Hunter refuses.

Hunter wants to know why everyone wants to make this personal. Hunter says that he has explained this before. This is business. He says that everyone wants to go down the Daniel Bryan road and make this personal. He says this is what is best for business. Hunter says that it is difficult for the people to understand, but he doesn’t know why Miz, Show, and Ziggler don’t get it.

Orton is the future of the WWE. He is not some guy who runs his mouth and can’t back it up. Orton is not a guy who just happens to be big. Orton is big enough. That is what makes him the best choice. He is what is best for business. It fills arenas and gets better ratings. It makes more money for everyone.

Hunter wonders why they were so angry on Monday. Miz must be angry because he sees the WWE Championship a long time ago and he hasn’t gotten anywhere close since. He tells Miz that since he is a good guy, looking out for everyone’s best interest, he will give Miz a shot at Randy Orton tonight.

Hunter tells Dolph that he looked miserable on Monday. It is because Dolph was looking at the Shield and the last time he was in the ring with the Shield, he got the crap kicked out of him. Dolph probably wants revenge. Dolph will get to go one-on-one with all three members of the Shield in a handicap match.

Hunter wants Big Show to come talk to him face to face. Hunter tells Show that if looks could kill on Monday night. Show was so mad that you could see smoke coming out of his ears. He is going to give Show a favor. He is going to give him the night off. He tells Show that he doesn’t want him to step into the ring tonight. He wants Show to sit at ringside and watch everything that happens tonight in the ring. He tells Show not to do anything about it.

Hunter tells Dolph he can go to the back and get ready.

Hunter tells Miz that it is fortuitous that he wore his gear to the ring because his match is now.

We are back and Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel make their way to the ring. Curtis says on Monday night the WWE Universe witnessed his mentor, his hero Paul Heyman perform one of the bravest acts a man can ever muster up the courage to perform.

We see the footage from Raw.

Paul Heyman has the mic and he wants to know what the people want from him. Do they really expect him to feel guilty about the beating his gave on Monday to his prodigal son CM Punk? He is not seeking forgiveness. He is not here to atone. He is not sorry for his actions. The people voted him into a situation where he had to face a beating at the hands of CM Punk. What did they expect him to do?

Did they think for one second that he was going to ‘take his beating like a man’? Paul says that for 434 consecutive days, they were the reigning and defending WWE Champion. Everyone single of their opponents and enemies was put down like a rabid dog. It was his strategy and Punk’s implementation. If every one of his opponents was put down, why is he still standing and why is he still breathing? It is because every single time that Punk has been coming after him, it was Punk on his back looking up at his father figure, looking up at his mentor, looking up at the man Punk should be worshipping as the God that he is.

Paul says that he will give everyone a reason to boo. We have it again at Night of Champions. A handicap elimination match at Night of Champions. This time, he cannot escape. He has to take his beating like a man. WWE virtually guarantees that if you get Night of Champions, you will see Paul Heyman face a beating at the hands of CM Punk.

Paul tells Curtis that he is afraid and that is the truth. He says that he is scared out of his mind because if Punk gets his hands on him, we won’t ever see Paul Heyman again. Paul says that his fear can be CM Punk’s worst enemy. If he has done this to CM Punk out of fatherly love, imagine what he can do when he is face to face with a guaranteed beating?

Paul tells everyone who he is. At Night of Champions, he and Curtis Axel will own CM Punk.
