WWE is still hoping to get their NXT developmental territory on television by the end of this year, possibly even as soon as September. It was reported a while back that the SyFy Channel might be a candidate to air NXT, but as of right now nothing is certain just yet.

Rob Van Dam's current contract with WWE is indeed a long-term deal, but the word going around is that the terms of the contract state that he is only required to work this first 90 days back and then he can take an unspecified hiatus before making another return. In other words, he basically has a Chris Jericho kind of deal.
