The extent of the injury suffered by CM Punk on last week's episode of Monday Night Raw in Indianapolis is unknown however, WWE are concerned ahead of his match against Undertaker at WrestleMania 29 on April 7 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Punk has now been pulled from all house shows until after WrestleMania 29:
"C.M. Punk is off all house shows until WrestleMania for a variety of reasons including being physically banged up. He didn't appear at the Raw shows Saturday and Sunday but was at the Bridgeport show on Friday, but only did an interview. He was injured, although people are somewhat playing down that it's serious, in the match with Kane on Monday."
If WWE avoid booking Punk in matches on the final few Raw episodes leading up to Mania we can assume they are really concerned. If we see Punk taking part in matches but having down time in the week then this may be a precautionary measure to avoid jeopardizing one of the biggest WrestleMania matches on the card.
