Rob Van Dam vs. Matt Hardy
Yes, Matt Hardy is in TNA Wrestling and he goes to shake RVD\'s hand. He mouths \"I\'m not my brother\" and RVD doesn\'t shake so Matt slaps him in the face. This is a different Matt Hardy, he looks dark with braided locks and he taunts RVD, but to no avail as Van Dam gets back into the match, spin-kicking Hardy to the canvas. The contest spills out and then back into the ring as Matt Hardy performs a devastating form of a sweep that has RVD\'s head go hard into the bottom turnbuckle. Hardy takes control of the match, getting a Two-count before locking Van Dam into a full nelson in attempts to keep him grounded. RVD tries getting out of it, but instead goes face-first into the canvas and again Hardy gets a Two. Hardy mocks RVD with his own taunt before going middle rope to taunt again, but Van Dam spin-straight kicks his opponent right in the jaw and the contest evens out, but not for long, Hardy again drops Van Dam, drops a standing elbow and gets another Two.
Remember, this is the test from Eric Bischoff and Immortal. Bischoff said that if Van Dam wins this match then, and only then, will he get Jeff Hardy one-on-one. Of course we can\'t trust what Eric says, but Van Dam has no choice but to overcome every obstacle and he gets back into this match, hitting an explosive thrust kick from the top rope before nailling Rolling Thunder and then going high for a Five St*r Frog Splash! One! Two! - um, the referee says Hardy\'s hand\'s under the bottom rope. It is, but only just, and most ref\'s wait til a compeititor actually grabs the rope. Never mind, Van Dam continues the match but Hardy catches him in a Twist Of Hate. Hardy goes for the cover, gets One, Two, oh he can\'t have Three because Van Dam has his foot under the rope, it can\'t be Three. But it is! What on earth?! Rob got screwed, a controversial decision as Matt Hardy wins on his TNA debut.
Winner: Matt Hardy.
