Hey SuperStar, it\'s time for Genesis!
Who will be the next TNA World Heavyweight Champion? Well, according to Jeff Hardy and Immortal, no one will. Jeff Hardy claims to be the anti-christ. The evolution that we all just have to deal with. Pro Wrestling is an industry full of heart and desire to become the best at what you do. Matt Morgan has been literally seconds away from beating Jeff Hardy before, but Ken Anderson has a mission in mind as it was Jeff who put him on the shelf in the first place. It\'s time to find out who will be the number one contender to the World Title, tonight!
Kazarian vs. Jay Lethal (c)
X-Division Championship
Jay Lethal goes after Kaz on the outside even before the bell rings and there seems to be a sense of urgency with the X-Division Champion. Lethal hits an early suicide dive as the whole of the Impact Zone is in Lethal\'s corner. Nobody likes Immortal, no one can condone what they do and how they go about their business. Immortal want the Belts, all of them, and if they are to fall at the first hurdle right here then their entire objective for the evening goes out the window right away. Kaz is an experienced Pro and he gets Lethal on the canvas, but Jay recovers quickly to eventually catapult his opponent into the corner and he follows with a dropkick to get a Two-count. Lethal then performs a textbook back-suplex and he gets another Two. Kaz soon comes back at him with chop and then a spinebuster in which Lethal hits the canvas hard. Kazarian signals the Immortal sign toward the booing audience before he gets Lethal on the mat and keeps the X-Division Champ grounded with an impressive springboard legdrop and Kaz follows with a Two. Lethal gets back into the contest with a handspring back elbow off the ropes. The match continues back and forth between both men as Mike Tenay and Taz explain how Kazarian has been insulting Jay Lethal\'s family and upbringing on Impact of late. Lethal\'s on the outside, he climbs the apron and Kaz slingshots him in to ground him with a cutter, what a move and Kaz gets One, Two - no, only Two. Kazarian sets Lethal into the corner for a superplex but to no avail, Lethal counters him, flips and lands with a sunset flip powerbomb. Great move and Jay then picks Kaz up to hit a Lethal combination. One, Two - no, kick-out by Kaz and he soon gets on top to get Lethal down for a cover and he has his feet on the ropes for leverage, but Lethal still kicks out. Such resilience by Lethal as the comms describe how Abyss\' attack on the Champion may have weakened Jay for this Title defense tonight. Lethal\'s back in the match though as a couple of Kaz slaps lead to a burst of adrenaline and Jay gets Kaz set up for a top rope elbow, but Lethal takes way too much time to make the climb, pandering to the chanting audience, Kaz nails the Champ with a jumping side volley. Kaz follows up the turnbuckles quickly and he\'s trying the reverse tombstone out the corner, but he can\'t hit it as Lethal fights him off. Kaz though bumps into the ref on his way back who then bounces off the ropes and Lethal inadvertently gets knocked onto his yam-bag. Kaz goes to grab him, brings him to the center of the ring. Reverse tombstone and this one\'s done. Mission complete, Kaz wins.
Winner and New X-Division Champion: Kazarian!
