We are then shown a video package of the build-up to the Rated R vs. RKO match.
\'The Rated R SuperStar\' Edge vs. \'The Viper\' Randy Orton
Orton receives a better ovation than Edge. The bell rings and the two competitor\'s feel each other out, not making contact for about a minute after the bell sounds. They lock up and Orton hits a shoulder barge after Edge goes against the ropes. Back on their feet again another tie up and this time Edge gets the upper hand by taking Orton into the corner. A whip into the opposite corner and Orton then reverses Edge\'s advances to take him to the mat. Orton does the Orton-stomp around Edge\'s body and then he hits Edge with a knee to the head. The match is slow as Orton methodically tries to weaken Edge. Edge eventually rolls out of the ring. Orton persues, but Edge suckers him in. The \'Ultimate Opportunist\' side-steps Orton as Orton goes ribs first, maybe arm-first into the barricade. They get back into the ring and Edge gets a near fall. Orton then holds his arm as Edge works on Randy\'s mid-section and weakend arm.
Jerry Lawler describes Edge\'s scissor around Orton\'s body like a Boa-Constrictor that is counterring the Viper. Edge then goes to the turnbuckles but Orton follows up to eventually pull off a suplex off the middle rope as the fans chant \'RKO\' \'RKO\'. Both men get back to their feet at the same time and exchange hay-maker\'s in the Joe Louis Arena. Edge against the ropes, a swift scoop and powerslam by Orton and a near fall. Orton then avoids a spear to manage to put a vintage Randy Orton DDT off the middle rope on the top of Edge\'s head. A two-count and Edge gets his foot on the rope. Edge rolls to the outside to buy some time. Edge then climbs the apron to pull on Orton\'s head whiplashing him off the top rope. Edge gets in, prepare\'s for a spear but Orton kicks it away. The fans in Randy\'s favour as he punches the mat to get the RKO ready. Orton though stops the punching. The mood has changed. Orton\'s arm is hurt. Edge exits and eventually Orton goes after him. But the referee puts on the Ten-Count. Then Edge hits Orton toward the barrier and sets him up for the spear. Orton avoids the spear as Randy dodges it, but the referee hits Ten as Orton is still holding his arm.
Match ends as a Draw.
The commentary team talk over what could have possibly happened to Orton\'s arm. Medics came to him straight away. Either his shoulder or his forearm are hurt.
