- Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's manager and trainer
Juanito Ibarra comfirmed to sherdog.com that Rampage
will fight Chuck Liddell for the UFC Light Heavyweight
championship at UFC 71 on Saturday May 26th. Liddell's
last loss came at the hands of Rampage in November of
2003 where Liddell's corner had to throw the towel in
to stop the fight.

- Before the IFL show on 3/17/07 Bas Rutten turned
over coaching duties of the Los Angeles Anacondas
renowned trainer Shawn Tompkins. A lot of the best MMA
fighters in the world seek out Tompkins to help them
with their stand up fighting. Rutten stepped down so
he can fulfill his broadcast commitments.

Silva is offical for UFC 70 on 4/21/07 in England.


- It has been confirmed that The Ultimate Fighter
season 6 will feature Welterweight fighters. No word
yet if their will be a second weight class.


- Antonio Inoki officially announced that as of April
1st, he is starting a new mixed martial arts
promotion called Inoki Genome Federation.


- K-1 is planning a Hero’s MMA show for June 2nd in
America, most likely at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.
The L.A Coliseum would be a rather bold move. The
seating capacity for the L.A. Coliseum, according to
their website, is 92,000. The current largest live
audience to ever attend an MMA event in the U.S. is
19,079, which was set just recently by the Ultimate
Fighting Championship in Columbus, Ohio. Former WWE
champion Brock Lesnar and Royce Gracie are expected to
fight on this card.
