Mickey Rourke did not win an Oscar/Academy Award for his role in 'The Wrestler'. He had been nominated for "lead role in a feature film". The award went to Sean Penn.

Well finally that's over! Now we move on to see if Rourke changes his mind about 'Mania. Rourke was all for working the PPV before his agents told him to hold off until after the Oscars because they felt it would ruin his chances of winning. Of course, that did not happen.

Lets wait to hear Mickey's media statements over the next few days. I'm sure WWE will be in touch with his people today to see if they can iron out some details regarding a match at 'Mania against Chris Jericho. It should be interesting to say the least. Stay tuned!

It was a great night for fight fans Saturday night as we had a free UFC event on SpikeTV and a boxing PPV which featured both Cotto and Pavlik. Both were pretty good shows although I'd have to say UFC was the winner Saturday night. As everyone who reads this website knows by now, WrestleMania 25 is just weeks away - six to be exact.
