Real American Freestyle is expanding its reach into youth amateur wrestling after agreeing to acquire World of Wrestling, the organisation behind several established tournaments.
World of Wrestling has operated under the Roller family’s leadership since 1979. The agreement brings the Tulsa Nationals, Reno Worlds and Kickoff Classic into RAF’s portfolio, connecting the promotion with events that have welcomed generations of young wrestlers and their families.
RAF said it plans to work with the existing ownership to build on that history while preserving the traditions that have made the tournaments important to the wrestling community.
“If you grew up wrestling, you know what these tournaments mean,” the company wrote.
Its announcement reflected on the family journeys, nerves before matches and trophies that have helped make those competitions memorable. RAF also recognised the Roller family’s contribution and expressed enthusiasm about working together.
The acquisition is another step forward for RAF, which launched in April 2025 before holding its first event on August 30 that year. Eric Bischoff serves as the promotion’s chief marketing officer.
RAF has staged 16 events so far, with its most recent show, RAF 14, taking place in Las Vegas on October 23.
While freestyle competition has been the promotion’s main focus, the World of Wrestling agreement gives RAF a wider presence in the youth amateur scene and a connection to some of its established tournaments.
Financial terms have not been announced. RAF expects to share more information about the agreement and its plans in the coming months.
