Roman Reigns overcame Sami Zayn in their champion vs. champion clash at WWE Crown Jewel 2026, winning a match that saw two referees taken out and Zayn attempt to use a championship belt as a weapon.
Zayn made a confident start, getting the better of the opening exchanges and taking the fight to Reigns at ringside. He kept the pressure on back in the ring before Reigns turned things around, with the crowd split between the two men.
A Blue Thunder Bomb put Zayn back in control, but Reigns responded with a Superman Punch. After an exchange of punches, Zayn landed a Helluva Kick, only for Reigns to kick out.
The match took a chaotic turn when Reigns avoided Zayn’s attempt at a Superman Punch and accidentally struck the referee while trying to deliver his own. Zayn capitalised with another Helluva Kick as a replacement referee rushed down to count, but Reigns again escaped defeat.
An increasingly frustrated Zayn then hit the second referee with a Helluva Kick. He reached for a championship belt and attempted to strike Reigns, who avoided the blow and answered with a Spear. A referee recovered to make the count, but Zayn kicked out.
Reigns told Zayn he respected his effort before the pair exchanged slaps. Another Helluva Kick attempt was met with a Superman Punch from Reigns, and Zayn responded with a Superman Punch of his own.
Zayn then attempted a Spear, but Reigns beat him to it. After delivering a few more words to his opponent, Reigns hit one final Spear to secure the victory.
