Cody Rhodes Says Bianca Belair May Be WWE’s Greatest Athlete Ever

Cody Rhodes believes Bianca Belair could be the greatest athlete WWE has ever seen.

Speaking on the Double Coverage Podcast, Rhodes praised Belair while discussing the different qualities that help wrestlers connect with fans. For Rhodes, one of wrestling’s biggest strengths is that performers can succeed through very different approaches, whether through creativity, character work or outstanding athletic ability.

He pointed to names including Mick Foley, Bret Hart, Oba Femi and Trick Williams before singling out the EST of WWE for particularly high praise.

“I love to have the performative (aspect of wrestling) because you can make it all work in pro wrestling. You can be this fully introvert artist and have crazy ideas kind of like Mick Foley was, right? Or you can be a combination like Bret Hart or you can be someone like an Oba, like a Brock, like a Trick, like a Bianca Belair. Bianca Belair is, I mean maybe WWE’s greatest athlete ever. To be able to have that melting pot, I mean just that, she’s a prime example of if anyone looks at the system,” stated Rhodes.

Rhodes also praised Charlotte Flair, explaining why WWE places such importance on sporting backgrounds and athletic potential. He believes those qualities can give performers an advantage, just as strong microphone skills or confidence can help others stand out.

“(Charlotte Flair) Unbelievable. And if they look at the system today and think ‘Why do they care so much about the sports and the athleticism?’ It can really help in the ring. It can really give you, a side of you an edge. Some people’s edge is their promo. Some people’s edge is their savvy. Some people’s edge is their sheer consistency or their ability to believe in themselves.”

Belair’s strength, speed and versatility have been central to her EST persona, helping her build a career featuring multiple championship reigns and memorable WrestleMania performances.

Her most recent WWE match came against Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky in a triple threat at WrestleMania 41. A finger injury kept her out of action for the remainder of that year. Belair announced her pregnancy in April and welcomed a son in August.
