Paul Heyman could soon be back on WWE television with a fresh storyline, according to a new report.
WrestleVotes on Fightful Select reports that WWE has a working creative idea for Heyman’s return. Sources familiar with the situation say the proposed direction would give him a storyline separate from his involvement with The Vision.
However, that would not mean cutting ties with the group. Heyman would reportedly remain involved in its ongoing stories, particularly those centred on Bron Breakker.
Heyman appeared on the October 12 episode of Raw, when he approached Oba Femi. Femi made his position clear, telling him he was not a “Paul Heyman Guy.”
There is also an unanswered question surrounding a mysterious phone call Heyman received at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6.
Earlier that evening, Bronson Reed returned and attacked Femi during his match against Breakker. Cathy Kelley later approached Heyman backstage, but before he could answer her, he received a call from an unidentified person and walked away.
The caller’s identity remains a mystery, while the reported new direction for Heyman is still a working idea.
