WWE Crown Jewel has been moved to a new venue just days before the event, with fans who have already purchased tickets set to receive full refunds.
Riyadh Season confirmed the unexpected change on Wednesday (October 28), announcing that tickets for the November 7 premium live event will go back on sale within the next 48 hours.
However, the announcement has left one major question unanswered: where will Crown Jewel now take place?
In a statement shared on Instagram in both Arabic and English, Riyadh Season confirmed:
“We would like to inform you that ‘WWE Crown Jewel’ has been moved to a new venue. All ticket holders will receive a full refund, and tickets will be re-released to everyone within the next 48 hours.”
The event was originally scheduled to take place at Riyadh Season Stadium in Saudi Arabia, but organisers have yet to identify its replacement or confirm whether the show will remain in Riyadh.
The development comes amid growing concerns about security and travel arrangements in the region.
King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has experienced significant disruption throughout October following Houthi attacks originating from Yemen. Although the airport has partially reopened, several international airlines have yet to resume flights.
The US State Department has also advised Americans travelling in the Middle East to remain particularly vigilant.
Despite the uncertainty, TKO CEO Ari Emanuel recently insisted that Crown Jewel was “still set” to go ahead, revealing that officials were monitoring developments daily and considering alternative locations if necessary.
For now, there has been no announcement suggesting the event itself has been cancelled or postponed.
WWE continues to advertise several major matches for Crown Jewel, including:
Men's Crown Jewel Championship: Roman Reigns vs. the winner of Sami Zayn and Trick Williams.
Women's Crown Jewel Championship: Liv Morgan vs. the winner of Chelsea Green and Nikki Bella.
Last Man Standing Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton.
World Tag Team Championship: The Vision (Bron Breakker and Austin Theory) vs. Penta and Je'Von Evans.
There has also been speculation about a potential match between Gunther and Finn Balor after promotional material featuring the two was spotted at Riyadh Season Stadium. WWE has not officially confirmed the contest.
The venue change is particularly significant given WWE's wider plans in Saudi Arabia, with WrestleMania 43 also scheduled to take place in Riyadh in April 2027.
With Crown Jewel fast approaching, attention now turns to where WWE will stage the event and how the last-minute change could affect fans planning to attend.
