Rusev is back in the ring at WWE live events, but there is still no word on when he will return to television.
The WWE star has been absent from TV since facing Je’Von Evans on the July 27 episode of Monday Night Raw. Reports indicate that he landed awkwardly on his neck during the match and told the referee he could not feel his hands.
Rusev finished the bout, but according to Fightful Select, he subsequently spent two weeks in concussion protocol. He later returned to the WWE Performance Center, only for an undisclosed illness to further delay his comeback.
Fightful Select also reported that discussions took place about bringing Rusev back to television in September. That return did not materialise, although he has since competed at WWE live events in Hawaii.
During those shows, Rusev faced Joe Hendry in singles action and teamed with Ethan Page for a tag team match. His return to live events marks a step forward, with his next television appearance still unconfirmed.
