Alexa Bliss Shares the Emotional Moment She Finally Said Goodbye to Bray Wyatt

Alexa Bliss has shared how returning to the Firefly Fun House helped her say goodbye to Bray Wyatt and find a sense of closure following his death in 2023.

Speaking on A Shot of Brandi, Bliss reflected on an emotional scene at Universal, where she stood beside a television playing footage of her former on-screen partner, whose real name was Windham Rotunda.

The experience brought back memories of their time together and gave her a chance to close a chapter that had been left unfinished.

“He did that interview where he was like, ‘Well, Alexa and I will always be connected in some way.’ And I just felt like a sense of comfort because I got to do the Firefly Fun House scene where I was next to the TV that was just playing Windham over and over and over. And it was so cool to be a part of that again, but also so heartbreaking after I did it. I felt like I finally was able to close that chapter,” she said.

For Bliss, returning to that familiar setting also brought the reality of his loss into focus.

“I think that was one of the first times that it actually hit me that he was actually gone. And so it was so cool to be able to do that, that Universal let me do that because I was like, I feel like this is me saying goodbye,” Bliss said. “This is me going back to where it started and this is me saying goodbye, and they let me have that moment.”

Bliss explained that she and Wyatt had hoped to work together again, but the timing never allowed their reunion to happen.

“I never got to have that closure with Bray because the last time I was with him it was WrestleMania and I turned on him against Randy [Orton]. And then we were supposed to join back together after this one WrestleMania, and then I found out I was pregnant. And then he had gotten sick, and so he was out for a while, and so it just never, it was like ships in the night, right?”

Their on-screen partnership began in 2020 and ended when Bliss turned on Wyatt at WrestleMania in 2021. Following his WWE return in 2022, brief moments involving Bliss hinted that their stories could cross again.

That reunion never came before Wyatt’s death in 2023. For Bliss, the return to the Firefly Fun House offered a personal opportunity to remember their connection and finally say goodbye.
