Samantha Irvin has responded to a report linking her with a potential move to AEW as her WWE non-compete clause reportedly nears its end.

According to Fightful, the former WWE ring announcer is set to become a free agent this month when her two-year non-compete expires. The report claims AEW has discussed bringing her in for an on-screen role on several occasions.

Fans may have to wait to see whether those discussions lead anywhere. An immediate appearance on Dynamite is not expected, with any potential arrival likely to happen further down the road. No deal has been confirmed.

Irvin appeared amused by the news, posting a short response on X:

“they internally discussed me?! ☺️”

Earlier in 2025, Irvin made a “guarantee” that she would return to wrestling at some point. Where that return might happen remains to be seen, but the latest report has given fans another reason to keep an eye on her next move.
