Austin Creed and Kofi have reportedly committed their futures to AEW, with new details emerging about their contracts and the plans behind The New Level.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, both stars signed five-year deals with the company. The pair previously revealed after their All In debuts that they had put pen to paper just one day before the pay-per-view.
Their entrance music also came together at the last moment. Licensing for “The New Level” was reportedly secured on the day of All In 2026, with clearance required from Sony. Sources explained that music rights negotiations often continue until close to an event.
The report states that creative plans for Creed and Kofi were pitched “well before” their contracts were finalised. Joining forces with Swerve Strickland was among the earliest ideas discussed, and he played a significant role in those initial conversations.
While the trio was never intended to remain together long term, the opportunity to work with Strickland was part of the appeal of joining AEW. Tony Khan has previously maintained that he does not speak to talent until they become free agents.
The New Level and Strickland went on to hold the AEW World Trios Championships before losing the titles at WrestleDream this past weekend.
With five-year deals reportedly in place, there is plenty of time for Creed and Kofi to build their AEW legacy. What would you like to see The New Level do next? Share your thoughts in the comments.
