WWE’s plans for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia could bring the company a huge payday, with a new report suggesting a hosting fee of around $150 million.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the financial stakes behind WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia as questions continue over Crown Jewel 2026 amid regional security concerns.
According to Meltzer, the Saudi General Entertainment Authority is paying WWE $150 million to stage WrestleMania in Riyadh. He said he had been told the fee was above $100 million, with sources in Saudi Arabia pointing to a higher figure. The exact amount has not been publicly confirmed.
Meltzer compared that potential payment with the roughly $55 million WWE would typically receive for a major premium live event under its Saudi arrangement. He suggested the company is keen to protect that relationship ahead of WrestleMania 43.
That financial backdrop comes as WWE continues to advertise Crown Jewel despite concerns about violence in the region. The report cited security alerts linked to Houthi attacks and a US travel advisory urging Americans to reconsider visiting Saudi Arabia.
Meltzer also said WWE has contingency plans if Crown Jewel cannot go ahead on its scheduled date, although details of those alternatives were not disclosed.
He suggested an escalation of the US travel advisory to Level 4 could give WWE a “bail-out”, allowing the company to explain that circumstances outside its control had forced a change. In his view, that could help WWE preserve its relationship with Saudi General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Al-Sheikh.
According to the report, Crown Jewel remains scheduled for November 7 at Riyadh Season Stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District. WrestleMania 43 is planned for April 2027 at the same location.
