WWE NXT is reportedly preparing a stronger line-up for November 4, when the show is set to go head-to-head with AEW Blood and Guts.
According to Bryan Alvarez, NXT has been instructed to “load it up” for the clash. Writing to subscribers on X, he stated:
“Confirmed that November 4th NXT and AEW are going head-to-head. That’s the Blood and Guts show and NXT was told to load it up.”
TV Insider listings now place NXT on Wednesday, November 4, instead of its regular Tuesday slot. The expected move comes as coverage of the U.S. midterm elections could disrupt its usual broadcast on The CW.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained why the network was looking at a schedule change.
“I was told by people who know that CW wants to move NXT to that Wednesday. It probably will be moved because if it’s on Tuesday, it’ll be preempted on far too many stations. That’s the night of Blood and Guts.”
The November 4 episode will also be NXT’s first show after Halloween Havoc on Saturday, October 31, giving WWE an opportunity to build on the fallout from that event.
Meanwhile, AEW will bring Blood and Guts to the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
With NXT reportedly being asked to strengthen its card, fans could have a busy night of wrestling ahead. Specific plans for the NXT line-up were not revealed in the report.
