Kevin Nash believes WWE has a major star on its hands in Oba Femi, praising his growing confidence and the changes that have helped sharpen his presentation.
Speaking on the latest episode of Kliq This, Nash highlighted how Femi has refined his entrance while keeping the personality that makes him stand out.
“Am I the only one that realizes that the guy with the rocket up his a** is Oba Femi?” Nash said.
“When he came down, it was very exaggerated, kind of cartoony, Bushwhacker-y kind of a thing. Now he does that for maybe six to eight steps and then he just drops out of that and goes into kind of a cool jazz version of the original.”
Nash also pointed to Femi’s recent exchange with Paul Heyman, interpreting Heyman’s approach as an attempt to recruit Femi at Bron Breakker’s expense. Femi’s refusal helped underline his confidence in standing on his own.
“When he was leaving the ring after he told Heyman to go [expletive] off because Heyman wanted to pull him in and be his next guy, he was basically dumping Bron Breakker and saying, ‘You’re my boy.’ And he said, ‘I’m not a Paul Heyman guy.'”
For Nash, Femi’s appeal goes beyond his imposing presence. He believes audiences can see a likeable personality emerging as Femi becomes more comfortable in the spotlight.
“From just how well things are going, and he feels it, you could just see … he’s just a nice guy. You see it in his eyes. You can see it in his face, his smirk. He’s just going to get better and better and better and better,” Nash said.
He summed up that combination of warmth and strength with a comparison to Disney’s The Lion King.
“It’s more like a Disney-type thing where he’s the Lion King. The Lion King’s not necessarily bad. He’s just … the hyenas aren’t going to [expletive] with him.”
Femi has already enjoyed a remarkable first year on WWE’s main roster. The former NXT Champion won the 2026 Men’s King of the Ring tournament and retired Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
A potential WrestleMania 43 match against Roman Reigns is also reportedly on the horizon, giving Femi another opportunity to build on his rapid rise.
